About the Program
We have submitted an application to the Department of Apprenticeship Standards of the State of California and are currently awaiting approval as an Apprenticeship Program. Once we are approved, qualifying students will have their tuition and fees covered, among other things.
Prospective students who complete the interest form below will be contacted to discuss one of two pathways: Pre-Apprenticeship or Apprenticeship
Pre-apprenticeship: These are students who will begin taking a Student Success Seminar Class (Counseling 1) at Hartnell College starting January 23,2023. Students in this pathway will also receive training and workforce skills through our partnering agency PITC. These students will be ready to enroll in two ECE classes at Hartnell College Soledad Education Center in the Fall (August) 2023.
Apprenticeship: Students who want to start taking ECE classes right away will join our first ECE Cohort at Hartnell College Soledad Education Center and register for two ECE classes that start January 23. As a part of the "Learn & Earn" portion of the program, these "Apprenticeship" students will be placed at a local organization where they will work and gain valuable hands-on work experience while getting paid. Students in this pathway will also receive training and workforce skills through our partnering agency PITC that will help in their development.
Please Note: At this time, the classes for our program are only offered at the new Hartnell College Soledad Education Center.
